Really brutal, really grinding old school death with low-tuned guitars, pounding drums, and guttural vocals. These guys are Swedish but it sounds nothing like the style of the early 90's! Essential death metal education! dungeonghoul

I can't formally retract the erroneous 2.0 I gave this back in 2018, but I can say that, five years on, I've come around to this record in a big way. Quality death metal with great atmosphere without being "atmospheric" (read: boring) metal. Diabolus in Muzaka

Likely the finest quality Split LP so far in DM. For me, Cartilage are the better half of this smashing DM split, tending toward the heavy & epic simultaneously with subtle musical intricacy. Guitars work in power chords with an emphasis less on faster strumming & integration of multi-rhythm than others, eg., Amorphis. Guitar riffs wander over the spectrum, from simple chunky riffs to more complex, almost progressive heavy metal styles. When at top performance, the riffs are exceptional. Superb! xhrl_
